As an important part of the precision machine tool, the linear module needs to be operated correctly in order to ensure the speed, accuracy and service life of the linear slide module to prevent abnormal wear. If the daily maintenance work is done well, the linear module can maintain good performance for a long time, prolong the service life, and discover and eliminate hidden dangers in time. Especially when the linear module is not used for a long time, it is necessary to pay more attention to the usual maintenance.
When the linear module is not used for a long time, if it is not carefully maintained, it will cause a drop in accuracy and speed, a shortened service life or other failures such as corrosion and rust when it is suddenly used. Regular maintenance includes the following:
1. If the motor matched with the linear module is a DC motor, when the DC motor is deactivated, the brushes of the linear module should be removed from the DC motor to avoid damage to the commutator caused by chemical corrosion, thereby reducing the conversion rate. The performance of the commutator may even reduce the performance of the linear module of the entire commutator, resulting in the linear module not working properly.
2. In the rainy season or in an environment with high relative humidity, the linear module should be energized regularly. When the motor is not running, that is, when the machine tool is locked, let it run idly, and use the heating principle of electrical components to dissipate the moisture in the linear module to ensure the stability and reliability of its performance. In addition, the conventional power supply can guarantee the charging needs of the backup battery, but the voltage of the battery should be checked frequently, and if it is too low, it needs to be replaced immediately to prevent data loss due to power failure.
3. For linear modules that have been deactivated, anti-rust oil and lubricating oil should be used regularly to prevent rust or corrosion, and to avoid failures during use.
Precision linear modules have very little frictional resistance, so only a small driving force is required to move the load. The low frictional resistance of the linear module material helps to reduce the heating effect. Therefore, compared with the traditional sliding mode system, the frictional resistance of the linear module is reduced, and the accuracy can be maintained for a long time.
